Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams across general, OB/GYN, renal/pelvis and small parts studies
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment (GE, Philips, portable units) and PACS workflow
• Provide compassionate imaging care for neonates, pediatrics, adults and geriatric patients
• Accurately document findings and chart in EPIC in a timely fashion
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing and interdisciplinary teams in a Level II trauma center
• Adapt to floating between nearby campuses as needed to meet patient care demands
• Follow safety protocols and participate in unit orientation and ongoing competency checks

Qualifications

• ARDMS credential required (ARDMS AB and ARDMS OB/GYN preferred)
• ARRT (S) preferred; BLS required
• Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience (accepting first-time travelers)
• Experience with adult imaging, emergency department, NICU, pediatrics and portable exams
• Comfortable working night shift, including required weekend coverage
• Proficient with EPIC charting and PACS image management
• Ability to float to a nearby campus (less than 2 miles) when requested

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound modalities: general abdominal, OB/GYN (1st–3rd trimester), renal/pelvis, small parts
• Hands-on skill with GE and Philips platforms and portable ultrasound units
• Familiarity with image storage and retrieval via PACS
• Comfort performing or assisting with procedures (amniocentesis, thoracentesis, paracentesis) as applicable
• Excellent patient communication skills across all age groups, including neonates and pediatrics
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced Level II trauma environment
• Accurate clinical documentation and time management using EPIC
