Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations safely and efficiently
• Operate and maintain radiographic equipment including DR and C-arm systems
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and consistently wear and manage your dosimeter badge
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in the EMR
• Provide compassionate patient care and clear communication to patients and clinical teams
• Work independently and make sound decisions while collaborating with physicians and staff
• Participate in quality assurance processes and equipment checks to ensure top performance

Qualifications

• Current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license required by start of assignment
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
• Must have and use a dosimeter badge as part of radiation safety compliance
• Ability to function independently without direct supervision
• Willingness to arrive on-island the Friday prior to the Monday start for HR/EH clearance

Knowledge & Skills

• Operation of radiographic equipment and proficiency with digital radiography workflows
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety and protocols
• Experience with Meditech and Epic EMR systems
• Familiarity with Philips DR, Philips C-arm, OEC C-arm, and Konica DR systems
• Accurate documentation, patient positioning, and imaging technique skills
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment basics and communicate tech issues to engineering
