Location: Bowie, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per Diem (schedule varies), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Day

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide attentive, respectful care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility
Observe and document resident conditions and report changes to nursing staff promptly
Support mealtime and hydration needs while promoting independence where possible
Help maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
Build warm relationships with residents and families to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

GNA certification (required) — you are trained and ready to care for older adults
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Compassionate bedside manner and strong communication skills
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Reliable transportation and punctuality for scheduled shifts

Education

Completion of an accredited Geriatric Nursing Assistant program or equivalent training

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
Skillful assistance with ADLs (activities of daily living) and mobility support
Basic documentation and charting accuracy
Ability to follow care plans and verbal/written instructions
Teamwork and collaboration with nurses, therapists and support staff
