Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams using specialized sonography equipment
- Collaborate closely with physicians to capture images that support accurate diagnosis and treatment
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain exams clearly, and ensure patient comfort and safety
- Acquire, label and document diagnostic images in the medical record following facility protocols
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and adhere to infection control and safety standards
- Follow ARDMS standards and facility policies to deliver consistent, professional imaging services
- Contribute to a positive patient experience through compassionate communication and teamwork
Qualifications
- ARDMS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of sonographer experience (required)
- Proven experience with ultrasound/sonography and diagnostic imaging procedures
- Comfortable working in an outpatient (OP) clinical setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with ultrasound imaging techniques and equipment operation
- Solid anatomy and physiology knowledge relevant to diagnostic sonography
- Accurate image acquisition, optimization and documentation skills
- Patient-centered care skills, including positioning and preparing patients for exams
- Familiarity with imaging workflows and electronic medical record documentation
