Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during evening shifts
- Perform thorough assessments and monitor changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document care and clinical findings clearly in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
- Float to other areas as needed to support staffing and patient needs
- Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania (required)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred
- Recent clinical experience in an acute care or long term care setting preferred
- Ability to work part-time evening shifts and every other weekend
- Strong communication skills, team player attitude, and reliable work ethic
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Medication administration and IV therapy competency
- Accurate charting and comfort with electronic health record systems
- Patient and family education with clear, compassionate communication
- Time management, prioritization, and adaptability when floating to other areas
