Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Perform rapid triage and clinical assessments to prioritize care in a fast-paced ED
• Administer medications and treatments safely using Epic electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and support staff to coordinate efficient patient flow
• Utilize advanced life support skills (BLS/ACLS/PALS) during critical events
• Complete required competency testing and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and aftercare to improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Current RN license (state license verification required)
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required
• TNCC certification required
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts in a high-acuity emergency department
• Experience using Epic or other EHR systems preferred
• Ability to complete pre-employment requirements: Fit test, 2-step PPD or IGRA, drug screen, required immunizations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap), physical and COVID-19 and influenza vaccines

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency assessment and triage skills
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record workflows
• Critical thinking and quick decision-making in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary settings
• IV therapy, medication administration and basic airway management
• Familiarity with trauma protocols and acute care interventions
