Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions, providing compassionate, evidence-based care
• Administer respiratory therapies and airway management, including ventilator support and oxygen therapy as ordered
• Perform diagnostic testing and procedures such as arterial blood gases and spirometry, accurately documenting results
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust patient care plans
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in code response when needed
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation in the medical record and ensure continuity of care during shift changes
• Participate in competency testing and unit-specific skills checklists to maintain high standards of practice

Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) — required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) — required
• License/Certificate verification completed prior to start
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist as required
• Current fit test and required immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap) and 2-step PPD or IGRA
• Pass a Trinity 10 panel drug screen and provide a physical/health statement

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in ventilator management and respiratory therapies
• Solid patient assessment and clinical decision-making abilities
• Proficiency with respiratory diagnostic testing (ABGs, spirometry)
• Infection control practices and safe PPE use
• Clear, compassionate communication and teamwork
• Accurate clinical documentation and time management
