Shift Type: Flexible daytime clinical shifts with scheduled on-call coverage (day shifts with occasional on-call nights/weekends as assigned); schedule varies between Level II and Level III NICU coverage

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical care for newborns across a 26-bed Level III NICU and a 6-bed Level II NICU
- Utilize advanced neonatal technologies such as therapeutic body cooling, jet ventilation, oscillators, and inhaled nitric oxide (iNO)
- Collaborate closely with pediatric subspecialists, maternal-fetal medicine, and OB hospitalists to ensure comprehensive care
- Lead and participate in teaching initiatives for trainees, nursing staff, and allied providers
- Drive and engage in quality improvement projects to continuously elevate patient outcomes
- Work alongside skilled nursing and ancillary teams to deliver compassionate, family-centered care
- Contribute to a supportive, collegial environment and help shape NICU clinical practice and protocols
- Maintain flexible participation in scheduling to support the needs of a growing community and program
Qualifications
- BC/BE in Neonatology (Board Certified or Board Eligible)
- MD or DO with completion of an accredited Neonatology fellowship
- Active or eligible for Nevada medical license (must reside in the immediate local area; relocation may be required)
- U.S. work authorization required (not accepting visa candidates)
- Comfortable providing care across Level II and Level III NICU settings and using advanced neonatal support technologies
- Strong teamwork and communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Interest or experience in teaching and quality improvement initiatives
Education
- MD or DO
- Completed Neonatology fellowship
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in neonatology and neonatal intensive care (Level II and Level III NICU)
- Hands-on experience with body cooling (therapeutic hypothermia), jet ventilation, oscillators, and inhaled nitric oxide (iNO)
- Ability to collaborate with pediatric subspecialists, maternal-fetal medicine, and OB hospitalists
- Skilled in team-based clinical care and working with nursing and ancillary staff
- Experience leading or participating in teaching programs and quality improvement projects
- Strong clinical decision-making and family-centered communication skills
