Shift Type: Day shifts, 8-hour days (exact start/end times vary by schedule); 1:4 on-call rotation (primarily critical lab calls); Accepting full-time (80 hours per pay period) and part-time (48 hours per pay period) candidates

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality outpatient medical oncology and hematology care to patients in a freestanding cancer center
- Manage and oversee infusion care in a new 19-chair infusion suite in collaboration with infusion nursing
- Coordinate care with onsite radiation oncology, pharmacy (including onsite mixing), and nurse navigation
- Participate in and contribute to leading-edge clinical trials and multidisciplinary tumor boards
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered communication and shared decision-making
- Document clinical encounters accurately and collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity of care
- Support quality improvement initiatives and best practices within the cancer center
- Serve on a 1:4 call rotation for primarily critical lab calls and urgent outpatient needs
Qualifications
- Board Eligible within 2 years or Board Certified (BE/BC) in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology
- Open to new fellowship graduates and experienced physicians
- Clean malpractice history and background required
- NPDB self-query report required as part of the credentialing process
- Open to H-1B and J-1 visa candidates
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams in an outpatient cancer center
Education
- Board Eligible (within 2 years) or Board Certified in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology
- Open to recent fellowship graduates
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical oncology and hematology principles and outpatient care
- Experience or aptitude for infusion management and outpatient infusion workflows
- Familiarity with clinical trials and protocol-driven patient management
- Ability to collaborate effectively with radiation oncology, pharmacy, nursing, and navigation teams
- Excellent patient communication and shared decision-making skills
- Comfort working in a community hospital setting with a broad scope of services
