Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and provide individual and group therapy to adults in a correctional setting
- Develop and implement person-centered treatment plans that support mental health goals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure continuity
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and case notes
- Deliver crisis intervention and risk assessment as needed to ensure safety
- Provide discharge and reentry planning support to help clients transition successfully
- Participate in staff training and contribute to a respectful, therapeutic environment
Qualifications
- Active LCSW license in California (LMFT or LPCC credential considered)
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related behavioral health field
- Experience working in mental health settings; correctional or forensic experience a plus
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility credentialing
Education
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related clinical master's degree
Knowledge & Skills
- Trauma-informed clinical approaches and evidence-based interventions
- Crisis assessment and de-escalation techniques
- Case management and coordinated care practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse populations
- Comfort working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with ethical and legal standards in clinical practice
