Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
- Monitor and document patient status and progress with attention to detail
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families about care plans and procedures
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to facility protocols
- Contribute to a positive patient experience with professionalism and empathy
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in Maine
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated clinical skills and ability to prioritize in a busy setting
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Prior experience in long-term care or similar settings is preferred but not required
Education
- LPN diploma, certificate, or equivalent from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong medication administration and documentation skills
- Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
- Ability to assess, record, and communicate patient condition changes
- Familiarity with electronic health records and charting best practices
- Comfort working independently while collaborating with a care team
