Surgical Tech - CVOR
Location: Sacramento, California
Start Date: 07-07-2026
End Date: 10-06-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Five 8-hour day shifts with varied start times (6:00 AM or 10:00 AM), plus overnight call once a week and 3 weekend call days per month
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during complex cardiovascular procedures including CABG and valve surgeries
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields in a fast-paced CVOR environment
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Interpret EKG strips and monitor patient vitals during procedures
- Float to other Sacramento facilities when needed to support patient care
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Strong CVOR skills and confidence in the operating room
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- First-time travelers welcome
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in cardiovascular operating room procedures
- Ability to read and interpret EKG strips
- Strong sterile technique and surgical instrumentation knowledge
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Flexible with floating to other facilities when needed
