Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain the operating room for cardiovascular procedures
Sterilize instruments and ensure all surgical equipment is functioning
Assist surgeons during CVOR surgeries, including passing instruments and supplies
Monitor and maintain sterile field throughout procedures
Coordinate with surgical team to ensure smooth workflow
Document case details and patient care accurately

Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum 1 year of experience in a CVOR setting preferred
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Expert knowledge of sterile technique and infection control
Proficient in handling cardiovascular surgical instruments and equipment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and ability to anticipate surgeon needs
Flexibility to adapt to changing case schedules
