Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate respiratory care and clinical evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiency, asthma, pneumonia and COPD
• Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory support (assist with V60, Servo-1 and Servo-U where applicable)
• Initiate and manage high-flow oxygen therapy, CPAP and BiPAP treatments
• Administer aerosolized therapies and perform airway suctioning safely and effectively
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech and communicate findings to the interdisciplinary team
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop and adjust patient care plans
• Participate in stroke education initiatives and support unit-specific protocols
• Maintain a proactive, safety-first approach and contribute to continuous quality improvement

Qualifications

• NBRC credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
• Active RT license (state licensure required)
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience
• At least one prior travel assignment required
• Preferred: prior Meditech documentation experience
• Preferred: hands-on experience with V60 and Servo ventilators and high-flow systems
• Strong ability to work collaboratively with physicians and clinical teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and weaning strategies
• High-flow oxygen therapy and non-invasive ventilation (CPAP/BiPAP)
• Competence with oxygen delivery devices, nebulizers and suctioning
• Clinical documentation in Meditech (preferred)
• Ability to assess respiratory status and respond to emergencies
• Clear communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary clinical staff
• Active, disciplined clinical approach and patient-safety mindset
