Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients across ICU, PCU, and MST acuity levels in a 10-bed multi-care unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, perform 12-lead EKGs, and titrate critical drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin
• Collaborate with charge nurses, monitor techs, and respiratory therapists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to EC MST, Pediatric, and West Campus units as needed to maintain competency and support the team
• Rotate standby for low census coverage and participate in holiday rotation to ensure 24/7 patient care
• Take primary care for PCU and MST patients when no nurse aide is available, maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios

Qualifications

• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam with 80% within two attempts prior to signing contract
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required; or 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med-Surg in a larger facility with strong skills
• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state (NLC) eligible
• BLS and ACLS certifications required from AHA or equivalent
• Experience with titratable drips such as sedation, vasopressors, and insulin
• Willingness to float and adapt to different acuity levels and units

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg telemetry care
• Proficiency in 12-lead EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring
• Strong titration skills for critical care drips
• Ability to manage multiple acuity levels simultaneously
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of CommonSpirit policies and procedures (compliance with radius rule: 50 miles, not employed with any CommonSpirit facility in past year)
