Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, evidence-based nursing care to progressive care patients
• Monitor telemetry and clinical status closely, intervening early when changes occur
• Administer medications and therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity about conditions and discharge plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record promptly
• Support unit flow by assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers efficiently

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain licensure quickly
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience (PCU/telemetry or similar acute care experience preferred)
• Current BLS required; ACLS and other advanced certifications preferred
• Comfort with telemetry monitoring, complex med administration, and critical thinking in a fast-paced setting
• Ability to pass standard background and health screenings for travel assignments

Education

• Nursing degree required (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment skills and familiarity with progressive care/telemetry patient populations
• Proficient in IV medication administration and infusion pump management
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with interdisciplinary staff
• Skilled at prioritization and time management during busy overnight shifts
• Competency in electronic medical records documentation and handoff communication
