Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high quality nursing care to pediatric intensive care patients
Continuously assess and monitor patients and promptly report changes in condition
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
Document patient care, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
Participate in orientation and unit training to maintain clinical competency
Support family-centered care and communicate clearly with families during stressful times
Adhere to infection control, safety, and facility policies to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license (RN)
Experience or clinical background in PICU or pediatric critical care
Willingness to complete required orientation prior to independent assignment
Ability to work at the Dayton, OH facility managed by Shriners

Knowledge & Skills

Pediatric critical care knowledge and bedside assessment skills
Strong clinical judgment and ability to prioritize in acute situations
Clear communication skills for working with families and interdisciplinary teams
Accurate documentation and familiarity with hospital workflows
