Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate cardiac, nephrology, and stroke care to adult and geriatric patients
Manage diabetes care and perform continuous EEG monitoring with attention to detail
Titrate cardiac drips such as Cardizem and beta-blockers while monitoring patient response
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to maintain safe 1:4-5 nurse ratios
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab units as needed while providing excellent care
Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent PCU experience preferred
Valid driver's license for radius verification
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac, nephrology, and stroke assessment skills
Experience with drip titration and seizure medication management
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Critical thinking and quick problem-solving in high-acuity settings
