Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-04-2026

End Date: 09-03-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across acute inpatient units
Treat diverse patient populations including post-surgical, orthopedic, stroke, and general medical cases
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER settings
Develop individualized treatment plans that promote recovery and independence
Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the care team
Mentor and guide patients through their rehabilitation journey

Qualifications

Active California Physical Therapist license required
BLS certification required
Acute Inpatient PT experience strongly preferred
Strong clinical skills across medical, surgical, and orthopedic patient populations

Knowledge & Skills

Acute inpatient rehabilitation expertise
Experience with total joint replacements, spinal surgery, and stroke recovery
Ability to manage a fast-paced caseload of 12+ patients daily
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Comfort working across multiple hospital units
