Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM start with varying shift lengths, plus call rotation including weekends

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $98 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist physicians during a wide range of surgical procedures including ortho, robotics, neuro, GYN, and vascular cases
Scrub in and provide first-assist support for complex surgeries such as total joints, robotic hysterectomies, and brain tumor resections
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth case flow across five active suites averaging 15 cases daily
Float between campuses as needed to support patient care across the health system
Respond to call coverage within 30 minutes to handle after-hours emergencies

Qualifications

Active RN license with RNFA certification
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Proven experience in ortho, robotics, neuro, and GYN specialties
Strong scrubbing skills as an RNFA
Comfortable with Cerner electronic medical record system

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in robotic-assisted procedures using the DaVinci system
Solid understanding of orthopedic, neurosurgical, gynecologic, and vascular cases
Ability to adapt quickly between multiple surgical specialties
Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced OR environment
Reliable call response within 30 minutes
