Location: Lakewood, Colorado

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable start times between 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM, primarily covering 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call requirements

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from a variety of surgical procedures
Monitor vital signs and manage pain relief for patients in Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure seamless patient transitions
Respond to on-call needs and support the unit during holidays and weekends as scheduled
Float to support other areas when needed while maintaining high standards of care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum one year of PACU, ED, or ICU experience preferred
Epic EMR experience strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in post-anesthesia care
Ability to manage complex patient needs including ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI cases
Comfortable reading cardiac strips and responding to emergencies
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
