Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to progressive care unit (PCU) patients
• Monitor and interpret patient status using telemetry and bedside assessments
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and update patient care plans
• Perform timely, thorough documentation and communicate changes in patient condition
• Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up
• Respond quickly to emergencies and escalate care as needed to protect patient safety

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state licensure or compact privileges as applicable)
• 2+ years of RN experience (PCU/ Progressive Care experience preferred)
• Comfortable working 12+ hour night shifts and managing higher-acuity patients
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Current BLS (required by many facilities) — obtainment/verification may be requested

Knowledge & Skills

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) clinical experience and familiarity with telemetry
• Proficient in patient monitoring, IV management, and medication administration
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
