Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy and infusion therapies safely and according to protocol
• Assess and monitor patients before, during and after infusions, responding to adverse reactions promptly
• Manage vascular access devices including ports, catheters and fistulas with confidence and skill
• Educate patients and families about treatments, side effect management and safe at-home care
• Document care accurately in the medical record and maintain regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with the oncology care team to coordinate care plans and ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain current certifications and participate in unit quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years current experience in Outpatient Oncology & Infusion (required)
• Active Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification (ONS/ONCC) (required)
• Active American Heart Association BLS (required) and ACLS (required)
• Experience with ports, catheters and fistula care (required)
• New Hampshire state nursing license (compact allowed) (required)
• IV certification / peripheral IV insertion experience (highly preferred)
• Previous travel nursing experience (highly preferred)
• BSN (highly preferred)
• Oncology skills checklist, supervisory reference from past year, and current license/certification verification required for submission

Education

• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong oncology nursing knowledge and infusion therapy skills
• Proficiency in chemotherapy administration and safety practices
• Vascular access management and IV insertion competence
• Patient assessment, triage and symptom management
• Familiarity with infection control and medication safety protocols
• Clear communication and compassionate patient education
• Ability to use electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Teamwork, attention to detail and critical thinking in fast-paced outpatient settings
