Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and promptly manage dysrhythmias to keep patients stable
• Provide advanced telemetry nursing care for MS/Telemetry patients with compassion and precision
• Administer IV therapy, blood products, and manage central/PICC/peripheral lines safely
• Respond effectively as a member of Rapid Response/Code teams during emergencies
• Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, RT, Pharmacy, Social Work) to optimize patient outcomes
• Perform wound care, feeding tube management, and respiratory support (HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP) as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license required (pending licenses are not accepted)
• BLS and ACLS required; NIH/NIHSS required or preferred per unit notes
• Telemetry/MS experience — 2 years preferred for MS/Tele; unit is open to first-timers
• Proven experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Comfortable charting in Epic and working within a teaching/level III trauma center environment
• Ability and willingness to float within scope to like units when facility needs arise
• Weekend coverage every other weekend and ability to meet the unit's scheduling needs

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Telemetry (on-unit and remote) and MS/Telemetry best practices
• Epic electronic charting proficiency
• IV therapy, starting/maintaining IVs, PICC/central line care and blood product administration
• Rapid Response/Code team participation and emergency response
• Respiratory support: BiPAP/CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), oxygen therapies
• Feeding tube care, wound care/Wound VAC management, and post-op ortho/neuro care
• Experience with heparin protocols, PCA management, and common med-surg interventions
