Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, trauma-informed nursing care to patients in the MST program during overnight hours
Assess patient condition, monitor changes, and document findings clearly and promptly
Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocol
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure continuity
Support patients and families with clear communication and emotional support
Maintain accurate clinical records and escalate concerns to appropriate providers
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse licensure (California license preferred or eligible)
BLS certification required; additional certifications (e.g., ACLS) a plus
Experience in acute care, behavioral health, or MST-focused programs preferred
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Comfort working independently on overnight shifts and as part of a team

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or BSN; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Trauma-informed care principles and sensitivity to MST-related issues
Medication administration and inpatient nursing procedures
Clinical documentation and electronic health record familiarity
Ability to prioritize, triage, and respond calmly in urgent situations
Collaborative teamwork and clear patient/family communication
