Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults across your assigned shift
• Perform assessments, create and revise nursing care plans, and document patient progress accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely following facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — physicians, therapists, and support staff — to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, post-discharge care, and available resources
• Respond to emergencies and urgent patient needs with professionalism and calm
• Maintain compliance with infection control policies, documentation standards, and facility procedures

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (or compact privilege where applicable)
• Experience or training relevant to MST specialty (MST designation listed as core skill)
• BLS required; ACLS and other specialty certifications preferred or as required by unit
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently on per-diem shifts
• Comfort with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Relevant specialty training or certifications encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care approaches (helpful for MST-related work)
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced night-shift environment
• Good teamwork, adaptability, and patient advocacy skills
• Comfortable using electronic medical record systems
