Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care during the 12-hour night shift
• Perform thorough patient assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure smooth patient transitions
• Respond to urgent situations with calm clinical judgement and quick action
• Maintain clear, timely charting and communicate changes in patient status

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
• Current BLS certification; ACLS or other specialty certifications preferred
• Prior acute care or similar clinical experience preferred for night shifts
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
• Ability to provide compassionate care and communicate effectively with patients and families

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Accurate clinical documentation and handoff communication
• Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
• Team collaboration and escalation of concerns when needed
