Shift Type: Days: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend, rotating shift schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients including those with CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, COPD, and post-operative conditions
Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms in collaboration with CCU staff
Titrate drips such as Heparin and Bumex as needed
Educate patients and families on disease management and recovery plans
Collaborate with CNAs and charge nurse to ensure safe patient ratios and quality care
Float to other departments as 'helping hands' and assist with cross-training

Qualifications

Active RN license in Oregon (or ability to obtain 90-day emergency license)
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred
Ability to work rotating day/night shifts and every other weekend

Knowledge & Skills

Medical-surgical nursing
Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Drip titration (Heparin, Bumex)
General pediatric care
Patient assessment and care planning
