Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (exact start/end times vary), 12-hour shift schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on the medical/surgical unit
Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes promptly
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge instructions
Document care activities clearly and timely in the patient record
Advocate for patients and promote a safe, respectful care environment

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or eligibility to obtain one
Experience or demonstrated competence in Med/Surg nursing (core requirement)
Comfortable and experienced working 12-hour shifts
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain promptly)
Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of medical/surgical nursing principles and best practices
Patient assessment and clinical monitoring
Medication administration and documentation accuracy
Care coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced hospital environment
