Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM; every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday; shifts rotate days and nights

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population ranging from swing bed rehab to critical trauma
Admit, discharge, and transfer patients with efficiency and compassion
Titrate medications and manage IVs, PICC lines, and ports
Participate actively in codes: cardiorespiratory, stroke, and sepsis
Float between Med Surg and Emergency Department as needed
Perform and interpret telemetry strips and complete EKGs
Collaborate with a small, dedicated team including one CNA per shift

Qualifications

Active RN license in Minnesota (or compact state)
Must have ER experience to be considered
Ability to work independently with minimal staff and communicate directly with hospitalists
Comfortable with caring for patients from swing bed to critical level with frequent flight transport
Adapt quickly to a fast-paced rural healthcare environment

Knowledge & Skills

BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Proficient in starting IVs, working with PICC/Ports, and titrating drips (Insulin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Levophed)
Experience with Meditech EMR
Strong telemetry reading skills
Knowledge of EMTALA regulations
