Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered Med Surg nursing care on 12-hour shifts
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient status to catch changes early
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care in EPIC
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Complete required competency exams and specialty skills checklists to ensure best practice
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and handoffs for continuity of care
• Adhere to infection control practices and facility policies to keep patients and staff safe

Qualifications

• Current RN license (California) — Nursys verification required
• Minimum 1 year Med Surg nursing experience
• Experience using EPIC or similar electronic health record systems
• BLS certification required
• DCI/BVP certification required
• Ability to pass Prime drug screening, TB testing, and required immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hep B, Influenza) as listed
• Successful completion of Prime Core Competencies, Skills Checklist, and Specialty Exam as part of onboarding

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)
• Current RN licensure in California (Nursys)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid Med Surg clinical knowledge and assessment skills
• Proficiency with EPIC documentation and electronic charting workflows
• Safe medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Strong prioritization, time management, and multitasking in a fast-paced setting
• Effective communication and teamwork across disciplines
• Familiarity with infection control, patient safety, and quality best practices
