Registered Nurse - LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)
Location: Fort Morgan, Colorado
Start Date: 07-13-2026
End Date: 11-02-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, includes every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers, newborns, and postpartum patients in a rural hospital setting
- Function as the primary baby catcher and transition nurse for newborns
- Triage incoming patients and assess urgent needs with confidence
- Titrate Pitocin and manage labor progression effectively
- Assist with gyn surgical patients as needed
- Act as charge nurse while taking a full patient assignment, supporting the unit's collaborative team
Qualifications
- Must have at least 1 year of L&D experience and be trained in LDRP
- Able to triage and function as the baby catcher/transition nurse
- Required certifications: ALS, NRP, AWHONN EFM
- Willing to work night shifts and every other weekend
- Comfortable working in a rural hospital with limited resources and quick thinking
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in LDRP nursing, from labor to postpartum and newborn care
- Proficiency in fetal monitoring using the OBIX system and AWHONN guidelines
- Neonatal resuscitation skills (NRP) and advanced life support (ALS)
- Triage assessment and decision-making in a low-volume, high-acuity setting
- Ability to titrate IV drips, specifically Pitocin
- Team collaboration and charge nurse leadership
