Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shift, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every other weekend, every other holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to obstetric and neonatal patients in a dynamic LDRP unit
Monitor and interpret fetal strips, manage titratable drips like pitocin, insulin, and magnesium
Float to Med/Surg and ER as needed, demonstrating adaptability and critical thinking
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including CNAs and charge nurses
Adhere to quality metrics and AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios
Communicate effectively with patients and families, ensuring a safe and supportive environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state required
BLS certification required; ACLS, NRP, and STABLE preferred
Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
Ability to interpret fetal monitoring strips and titrate drips
Flexibility to float to Med/Surg and ER as needed
Adaptable to change, strong critical thinker, excellent communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) and Meditech EMR
Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
Knowledge of obstetric and neonatal care, including hypertension and GDM management
Experience with titratable drips and quality metrics
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
