Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions and document findings clearly and compassionately
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow patient care plans
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient status, escalating when necessary
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and shift handoffs
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain one
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred depending on unit
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Reliable communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Comfortable using electronic health record systems
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
- Medication administration and documentation
- IV therapy knowledge and basic wound care
- Familiarity with standard nursing procedures and infection control
- Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Time management and prioritization under changing conditions
