Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Start Date: 07-06-2026
End Date: 10-05-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), every third weekend, 1 major and 1 minor holiday per year
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care to high-risk and routine obstetric patients
- Circulate in the operating room during cesarean sections
- Perform normal newborn assessments and routine baby care
- Float to postpartum unit to care for mothers and infants as needed
- Titrate Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and pain medications per protocol
- Triage patients over 20 weeks gestation with pregnancy complaints
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Ability to circulate in OR and care for newborns
- Driver's license required for radius verification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Proficient in EFM system (Obix)
- Experience with titratable drips (Pitocin, Magnesium)
- Team player with positive attitude and flexibility
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
