Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage OB triage and outpatient testing with calm, expert assessment
• Provide comprehensive antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum nursing care
• Care for newborns in the nursery and support family-centered transitions
• Perform continuous fetal heart monitoring and interpret EFM data accurately
• Document care thoroughly in EPIC and maintain clear, timely records
• Teach patients and their support persons about labor, delivery and postpartum care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate safe, effective care
• Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience with current fetal heart monitoring (required)
• BLS (AHA) certification (required)
• NRP certification (required)
• Experience with OBIX and EPIC highly preferred
• EFM and STABLE certifications highly preferred
• Willingness to obtain Oregon RN license if not currently active
• Resume and an up-to-date skills checklist (within 1 year) required for submission

Knowledge & Skills

• Antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care expertise
• Nursery/newborn care and assessment
• Fetal heart monitoring and electronic fetal monitoring (EFM)
• Proficiency with OBIX fetal surveillance and EPIC electronic charting
• Strong patient education and communication skills
• Accurate documentation and application of the nursing process
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and care coordination
