Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery/Postpartum
Location: Oxnard, California
Start Date: 06-22-2026
End Date: 09-21-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, includes weekend shifts as scheduled
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
- Monitor fetal heart rates and manage high-risk deliveries using advanced monitoring systems
- Collaborate with OB techs and charge nurses to ensure smooth deliveries and emergency c-sections
- Float between L&D, postpartum, and NICU as needed to support grower/feeders
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and assist with patient education for diverse populations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (or compact state)
- 2-3 years of recent L&D/Postpartum experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
- Intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring (AWOHNN) certification
- Prior travel contract experience preferred
- Ability to circulate for c-sections and manage fetal monitoring systems
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in Cerner EMR and FetalLink monitoring system
- Skilled in fetal heart monitoring, IV therapy, and emergency response
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced unit
- Comfortable floating to postpartum and NICU for feeding and stabilization
