Location: Lufkin, TX
Start Date: 07-13-2026
End Date: 10-12-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Days 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or Nights 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 4 shifts per week, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Float between a 24-bed ICU and a 26-bed PCU, providing high-acuity care
- Titrate drips including Levophed, amiodarone, heparin, propofol, and more
- Manage cardiac patients post-CABG or PCI, sepsis, DKA, and respiratory failure
- Collaborate with intensivists, hospitalists, RT, and monitor techs for optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in unit orientation and cross-training for both ICU and PCU
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas or compact state
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of critical care experience
- Ability to titrate drips and manage ventilated patients
- Comfort working in a fast-paced float pool environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
- Skilled in titration of vasoactive and sedative medications
- Strong assessment and critical thinking for ICU/PCU patients
- Team player willing to float to other units as needed
