Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU setting
• Continuously assess and monitor patients, interpreting clinical data and responding to changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies and advanced interventions safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document patient status, interventions and outcomes thoroughly and timely
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and discharge needs with compassion
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives to improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (able to practice in Louisiana)
• Experience in critical care/ICU nursing preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Comfortable with ventilators, vasoactive drips and advanced monitoring
• Strong clinical assessment, prioritization and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of critical care assessment and interventions
• Familiarity with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Proficient in safe medication administration and IV therapy
• Excellent clinical judgment, triage and time-management skills
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families and care teams
