Location: Kearney, Nebraska

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM (days) and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM (nights), every other weekend, holiday requirements
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide critical care to adult patients with conditions such as trauma, cardiac, stroke, sepsis, and respiratory distress in a 33-bed ICU
- Titrate and manage cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation as prescribed
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and document strips
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapists, tele techs, and nurse aides
- Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- At least 1 year of recent ICU experience
- Ability to titrate drips and interpret telemetry
- Driver's license required for radius verification
Knowledge & Skills
- Expert assessment and critical thinking in high-acuity settings
- Proficiency in cardiac drip titration and rhythm interpretation
- Skilled in trauma, stroke, and post-procedural care
- Effective teamwork and communication across departments
- Adaptable to floating requirements and variable patient loads
