Registered Nurse - ICU
Location: Kearney, NE
Start Date: 07-06-2026
End Date: 10-05-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour rotating shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM / 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM), every other weekend required, holidays as needed
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert critical care to a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiac, and stroke patients
- Titrate complex cardiac drips and sedation medications with precision
- Interpret cardiac monitor strips and respond to rhythm changes
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float to PCU or MedSurg units as needed, maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience strongly preferred
- Valid driver's license to verify distance from facility
- Ability to pass open-book exam with 90% during orientation
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in caring for patients on ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
- Expertise in titrating vasoactive drips, insulin, and sedation
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to changing assignments
- Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
