Location: Kearney, NE

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in a 33-bed ICU
- Monitor and titrate cardiac drips, sedation, and insulin
- Interpret and document cardiac rhythms using GE monitors
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including respiratory therapy and nurse aides
- Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed with appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Driver's license required for radius verification
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience preferred
- Must pass an open-book exam during orientation with a 90% score
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care nursing skills including trauma, cardiac, and stroke care
- Ability to titrate multiple IV drips
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting telemetry strips
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
