Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to ICU patients including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and sepsis cases
Monitor and titrate drips such as cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation
Read and interpret telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapy and nurse aides
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining appropriate patient ratios

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required upon start
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience preferred
Driver's license required at submittal for radius verification
Ability to pass an open-book exam during orientation (90% required)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in titrating cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation
Experience with GE telemetry monitors and strip interpretation
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for diverse ICU diagnoses
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with 1:2-3 nurse-to-patient ratios
Team collaboration and flexibility with floating assignments
