Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive critical care to ICU patients, including trauma, cardiac, and post-surgical cases
Monitor and titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation as ordered
Interpret telemetry strips and collaborate with tele techs
Work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of ICU experience preferred
Driver's license required to verify location compliance
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical care nursing skills
Proficiency in titrating multiple IV drips
Experience with GE monitors and telemetry interpretation
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
