Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 0630-1830 and 1830-0630, every other weekend including Saturdays and Sundays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to a diverse ICU patient population including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and sepsis cases
Titrate and manage critical drips such as cardiac, insulin, and sedation medications
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, document rhythms, and respond to changes in patient status
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapists and nursing aides
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining safe patient ratios

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1-2 years of recent ICU experience preferred
Valid driver's license for distance verification
Comfortable with open-book exams during orientation (passing score 90%)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in reading and interpreting cardiac rhythms and telemetry
Experience with GE monitors and electronic health records
Skilled in managing ventilators, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and other respiratory equipment
Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making in high-acuity settings
Excellent teamwork and communication skills for collaborative care
