Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-acuity care across multiple ICU specialties including MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU
Titrate critical drips such as pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin with confidence
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips independently while providing vigilant patient oversight
Collaborate with respiratory therapists to troubleshoot vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen needs
Float within a dynamic 60-mile zone, adapting quickly to new units and patient populations
Support patients on advanced therapies including CRRT, IABP, and Impella with 1:1 attention when acuity demands

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience; 3+ years plus Epic experience preferred for first-time travelers
Comfortable floating across ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and Med-Surg Telemetry units
Epic charting experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems
Skilled in reading and interpreting telemetry strips without monitor tech support
Strong critical thinking for rapid response to changing patient conditions
Flexible and adaptable when floating within a 60-mile radius zone
Team-oriented with excellent communication across multidisciplinary units
