Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-acuity care across multiple ICU specialties including MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU
• Titrate critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin with confidence
• Float within a 60-mile zone to support patients across various acuity levels from ICU to med-surg tele
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips independently while delivering safe, patient-centered care
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists and the care team to troubleshoot and manage ventilator and airway needs
• Support patients requiring advanced therapies such as CRRT, IABP, and Impella with 1:1 attention when acuity demands

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (3+ years preferred for first-time travelers)
• Epic experience strongly preferred for first-time travelers
• Comfortable floating across multiple ICU types and lower acuity units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and drip titration skills
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry independently
• Experience with ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Flexibility to adapt to different units and patient populations
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a float pool environment
