Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult and pediatric patients over 15 years old in a fast-paced ICU environment
• Titrate and manage critical drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
• Monitor and interpret telemetry using Draeger heart monitoring systems with centralized telemetry
• Collaborate with attendings, fellows, and residents to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
• Float to various inpatient units (excluding Maternity/NICU) to support system-wide patient care needs
• Respond to Rapid Response Teams and Codes alongside the Charge Nurse
• Manage advanced equipment including vents, CRRT, Impella, balloon pumps, and ICP monitoring
• Maintain strict compliance with fingernail policy and all unit safety standards

Qualifications

• Active RN license with 2 years of recent ICU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Valid driver's license for radius verification at time of submittal
• Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
• Willingness to float across inpatient units and work every other weekend plus 2 out of 3 major holidays

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment in high-acuity settings
• Experience with neuro, cardiac, and multi-system organ failure patients
• Comfort with advanced monitoring and life-support equipment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with interdisciplinary teams
• Positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues in a team-focused environment
