Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional emergency care to diverse patient populations in a Level I Trauma Center
• Manage high-acuity cases including trauma, sepsis, chest pain, strokes, and respiratory distress
• Administer and monitor common emergency department drips with precision and safety
• Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care
• Float to observation units and freestanding ER locations to support team needs
• Interpret cardiac monitoring strips and respond promptly to patient changes

Qualifications

• Current RN license with BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
• NRP certification preferred
• Recent Level I or Level II trauma experience strongly preferred
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• Ability to pass skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in fast-paced emergency settings
• Proficiency with cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Comfort managing 1:4 patient ratios in main zones and 1:1 in ICU/Trauma
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient volumes and acuity levels
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-stress situations
