Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM with rotating weeknight call 3-4 times per week from 3:15 PM - 6:45 AM and every other to every third weekend call from Friday 3:15 PM to Monday 6:45 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

First scrub on open hearts, CABG, valves, aneurysms, thoracotomies, VATS, and robotic cases
Cross-train into general OR and other specialties when CV volumes are low
Float to the floor as a 1:1 sitter to support patient care during low case volume periods
Prepare for open heart cases starting at 6:00 AM when scheduled
Respond to call within 15 minutes and provide excellent patient care across thoracic and vascular procedures

Qualifications

Current CST or NCCT certification required
BLS certification required
ND UAP registration required
Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience with open hearts and CABG
Must be able to first scrub independently
Willingness to cross-train and float as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Strong first scrub skills in CVOR procedures
Experience with ECMO, Impella 5.5, and Stryker towers
Ability to adapt to general OR cases when needed
Comfortable with 1:1 sitter responsibilities during low volume periods
Reliable call response within 15 minutes
